One Ring. One Life Saved.

From Street to Safe – Because of You

By David Simpson 25 July 2025

The Brown couple are Christians, and they have been running a Christian-style jewelry store for over 20 years.

FaithWins Rescue's very first family member: Triage

September 14,2025, on a rainy Altadena evening, Edward found her himself-dragging a shattered back leg down the street, soaked and shaking. The vet said it was cruelty: the bone crushed, infection already setting in. Without help, she wouldn't make it.

That tiny kitten became Triage-and the very first soul FaithWins ever saved.

"It was quite obvious her injuries included a severely fractured leg that had become infected," St Ives Veterinary Surgery said. "Her leg would need to be amputated for her to lead a normal and happy life."

During the first couple of days at the vet, she was terrified and cowered in the corner of her kennel with her ears completely flat. Staff at St Ives Veterinary Surgery took turns to care for her and comfort her until she was strong enough for surgery.

She adapted to walking with three legs very quickly and began running and even jumping in just a few days. "Triage was gaining confidence and balance and starting to play more."

How FaithWins Rescue Grew

It started with Edward and Phyllis actively rescuing Triage, a crippled three-legged stray they found on Altadena streets. That one act of kindness opened the door to more-soon, neighbors and locals who heard about their efforts began bringing injured or abandoned cats and dogs right to their home.

With growing support, they built real catteries and dog kennels in the backyard - heated, safe, and full of second chances. More space meant more lives saved.

But the bills exploded: surgeries, food, meds, utilities. To keep the rescue alive, they turned their old jewelry bench into a lifeline - handcrafting every Paw Hug Ring so the shelter never has to close. This isn't business. It's survival.

Edward:

"I'm old now. Only these hands still work.

I just want to keep making Paw Hug Rings so the shelter lights stay on.

Nothing else matters."

Wear Love. Save Lives.

Now, in their later years, Edward and Phyllis have saved their final strength for the workbench - handcrafting one more Paw Hug Ring at a time.

They simply want the lights at FaithWins Rescue to stay on, so one more abandoned little soul always has somewhere to go.

New orders every day - many are already on their second or third ring.

"Comfy, never tarnishes, and actually saves a life."

These glowing reviews and steady support keep the lights on at FaithWins.
